We are Verein
für Kernverfahrenstechnik und Analytik Rossendorf e.V. (VKTA) and were
mandated to decommission and dismantle the old nuclear installations at the
Rossendorf Research Site, of which some have existed since 1957, and to dispose
of the nuclear fuel and radioactive wastes by professional means.
The Free State of Saxony has entrusted us
with a number of further tasks covering environmental and radiation protection.
We are performing major services within our range of competence for the
Rossendorf Research Centre (FZR) which is situated at the same site as well as
for other partners. In addition to that we are participating in research and
development projects. |

Approx. 130
employees are working under the management of the
Executive Board, mainly experienced
physicists, chemists and engineers. Our technical equipment is
state-of-the-art. As a matter of fact, we also offer to outside customers our
extensive knowledge and experience in the fields of nuclear process
engineering, radiation protection and environmental and radionuclide
analytics.
